Getting started

Set up multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required on every Sajentic account. It protects confidential prospect data in the event your password is ever compromised.

Enrolling during signup

When you create your account, Sajentic will prompt you to set up an authenticator app before you can continue. Open any TOTP-compatible app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password) and scan the QR code shown on screen, then enter the six-digit code it shows.

Completing the MFA challenge at login

Each time you sign in, after entering your email and password you will be prompted for the current six-digit code from your authenticator app. Enter the code and your session begins.

If you forget your password

Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email. Open the link we send, enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app, then choose a new password.

If you lose your phone

Choose Lost your phone? Email me a link on the sign-in code screen (or on the password-reset page) and enter your email. We'll email you right away.

  1. Wait 24 hours. For your security, nothing changes for 24 hours after you ask. This gives you, and anyone else at your firm, time to stop a reset you didn't ask for.
  2. Finish the reset. After 24 hours, open the finish the reset link in the same email. Choose a new password, then scan the new QR code with the authenticator app on your new phone. The link works for 3 days after the wait ends; after that, request a new one.

When the reset is done, your old authenticator stops working, any other signed-in sessions are signed out, and we email you to confirm.

If you have a deadline, ask for the reset as soon as you notice the phone is gone, so the 24-hour wait starts as early as possible.

If you didn't ask for a reset

A reset can be stopped at any time during the 24 hours:

  • From the email. Choose Cancel This Reset in the email we sent, then confirm.
  • From the app. While a reset is pending, every signed-in session on your account shows a banner with a Cancel reset button.
  • From your firm. If you're a member of a firm (not its owner), the firm's owner gets an email about the request with the same cancel option.

Canceling leaves your password and authenticator exactly as they were. If you didn't ask for the reset, change your email password too, since someone else may have access to your inbox.
